Hey!

"Hexes and their income value per turn:

Farm Plot - 1 Food; River - 1 Food; Plains - 1 Horse; Forest - 1 Lumber; Hills - 1 Stone; Mountains - 1 Metal"

Where is this from? It is similar to Catan or Forbidden Lands but not exactly. I am a bit curious :D

Completely made it up... These posts are my exploration at trying to get more granularity from Tony's rules. So I deviated a few different ways. The blog posts were to capture my experiments.

You can check out bill lammings old rules in John Curry's book. He has a similar type of resource structure, with abstract points in place of gold values. 'early wargaming rules volume 5'
